I'm Catheryn J Kim or 김정현 [Kim Jeong Hyun].

I am the CEO, Creator, and the Artist behind CJKKJH. I am a 26-years-old Korean-American, born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. 

I am a passionate, polymath individual or the jack-of-all-trades. Why is that, you may ask? I don’t like to trap myself in a box or just one category, I like to explore, learn, and master multiple and diverse fields like Leonardo da Vinci. I am an influencer, creator, designer, CEO,  fashionista, artist, musician, writer, producer, and etc. 

I am that girl with myriad interests, thoughts, and ideas; therefore, I love experimenting, learning, mastering, and trying new things on a daily basis. CJKKJH was formed to focus on my artistic ideas and creations.

I have been creative for as long as I can remember. Since I was baby I loved drawing, painting, crafting, sewing, writing, designing, song-writing, music composing, playing piano, playing different sports, exercising, and always thinking a lot. I was interested in all sorts of things and exploring.  

Artistry and Creativity has always existed in my family, life, and environment for as long as I remember. I didn’t realize it at the time, but now I look back at my life, it always existed by me. I was never encouraged to pursue it like expected of typical Eastern Asian parents, but the creative and artistic bloodline has been running in my family for a very long time, and I guess I was lucky enough to inherit the talent as well. 

For a little family history, my mother is a talented multi-disciplinary artist who excels in diverse art forms, but she never pursued that talent, my paternal grandmother is a Professional Traditional Korean Macrame Artist, my paternal great grandfather was a famous Korean Calligraphist, and My great, great grandfather was a famous Wood Carver. Ironically, all my siblings are also artists and creators except one. My youngest sister is known as a Webcomic Creator, but she is talented in other creative fields, and my younger brother is a character designer.

I was known to be talented at art at a young age, but since I was an intelligent child, I was strongly discouraged to pursue that passion. I was encouraged to pursue a career that was more highly looked upon by society and provided a high and stable income, so I never considered it a path until I educated myself, experienced more life, and figured out who I am. 

After going through an insane roller coaster of life experiences, I started to accept, forgive, and love myself which helped me figure out who I am. 

I am Catheryn J Kim, a polymath or a multi-disciplinary artist/creator.
